While anxiously awaiting for the dress reveal with her bridesmaids, Megan and her mom, Bonnie, shared a few moments alone together while getting ready in Megan’s bridal suite.Megan and Luke’s 7 month old son, William, arrived during the dress reveal, just moments after Megan’s bridesmaids.
Gathered near the Haas Covered Bridge–near a private pond, blooming hydrangeas, and rustic train-buildings–Megan and Luke read their handwritten vows.
Four years after meeting each other at work, Megan and Luke sealed their vows with their first kiss as husband and wife.
Assisting me for the day was Birdie from Birdie’s Eye View Photography, who captured these fun moments with Luke and his groomsmen!
Trying to find the perfect time to “hook” onto Megan, Luke attached an engagement ring to the fishing pole he had given her as a birthday gift in March of 2016…
Megan had not seen the ring hiding behind the tag however, and later stated, “Who gets a fishing pole and looks at the tag?!” Since Luke’s surprise proposal hadn’t planned out the way he had hoped, he removed the ring to try surprising her another day.
A week later, after Megan was talking about how great a ring would look on her finger, Luke pulled the ring out of his pocket and threw it at her, yelling, “Like This!”
After standing in silence–staring– waiting for an answer, Luke finally asked, “Well will ya?!” Not only did Megan make him wait a couple hours before giving him the answer we now know, which is “YES!”, but Luke’s attempt at trying to be romantic and finding the perfect timing ended up being completely original and a “classic Luke Jonas move”.Above: Baby William with his grandparents + great grandparents.
Before heading over to the reception at Hotel Mead and Conference Center in Wisconsin Rapids, Megan and Luke joined their closest family and friends for a quick drink at their favorite bar, The Pour House.
