Alyssa and Keith’s farm wedding in Custer, WI was breathtakingly beautiful…Alyssa’s bombshell-status hair and makeup was done by Dee Hall at The Salon and Christine at Salon Prestige, respectively.
Alyssa and Keith’s wedding was special for many reasons. First was the fact that I went to school with the two of them, and my dad went to school with Keith’s dad. Second–the important part–is that Alyssa and Keith really “found” each other 7 years after attending high school together.
♥ How They Became a Couple ♥
As a musician for the popular band, Raised Reckless, Keith was playing at the Amherst Fair in 2015 when Alyssa had run into him. After the fair, both Alyssa and Keith found their way to Whitetail Lanes, where Keith purposely walked by Alyssa so he could say Hi and chat a little more!A few weeks went by and Alyssa and her friends went to see the Eli Young Band play at the Wausau Fair. After hearing Raised Reckless was playing in the beer tent, Alyssa and her friends headed over for some additional entertainment.
As Alyssa recalls, “At some point during the night, Keith and I locked eyes while he was playing.” And from there it was history! As Keith said, “After a few weeks [of reconnecting at the Amherst Fair], we finally had our first non official date of ice cream and a walk by the river. After that point, we couldn’t stay away from each other!”
♥ The First Look ♥
Atop a luscious green hill–overlooking the groom’s family farm–Alyssa and Keith shared their First Look.Playing the most beautiful acoustic version of Beauty and the Beast’s theme song, was Phil Smyth from Raised Reckless.
In addition to admiring his hard work ethic and the fact that “he has his head on straight”… Alyssa loves how much Keith adores her son, Caeden, and “how good he is at being a dad!”
Keith knew that Alyssa was The One after he had seen her with Caeden for the first time. “I saw how she was so caring, and the smile he put on her face… At that point, I knew I wanted that same smile to be on all three of our faces every day!”
♥ The Proposal ♥
While walking along the Las Vegas strip in September 2016, Alyssa and Keith stopped by the Bellagio fountains. As Alyssa was busy recording the fountains on her phone, Keith was able to catch a stranger who was nice enough to “take their picture”.Little did she know, but Keith was about to give Alyssa the surprise of a lifetime as he bent down on one knee and asked her to marry him. According to Alyssa, he was so nervous “he could barely get the words out!”
Post-dinner entertainment was provided by Boogie and the YoYoz–one of Wisconsin’s top cover bands– the band in which Keith will soon be joining!
The set-up was elaborate and the musicians were extremely entertaining–I felt honored to be at such an energetic wedding!
The last image of the night is one of my all-time favorites. I don’t think a nighttime portrait could get any more romantic than this ♥ ♥ ♥
